Frequencies of the Month: May ‘09

It’s HOT LIKE HELL in Karachi! Like boiling hot! I don’t remember the mercury rising this much in summers here ever! I mean I could stand in scorching sun for hours just over a year ago, but I think my bones will get roasted even if I tried thinking about doing the stunt this time around. And with the hours and hours of loadshedding, it’s getting out of hands! I have warned everyone in the house that if they hear a scream and a bang, that would be me, running out of the house to the wild, trying to find some cool solace, where I can stay in my pajamas all day long! And sip some cool coconut water, chew fresh strawberries and have a liter pane of punchy drinks at my disposal!

I better snap put of this day dreaming before another power outage hits me here, leaving stranded and unconnected from the anything out there! And remember to keep yourself hydrated! 🙂

Faith in their hope and to buy themselves time.

The Great(est) Song of Indifference!

This song hands-down takes all the accolades from my side for justifying its title and lyrics! It’s such a catchy, diddly melody that I feel tapping my feet every time I listen to it (I’m stumping my feet writing this now!) I love the way the band cracks up laughing at the end of the song, it sounds so cute. 🙂

The song was featured in Bob Geldof’s 1990 Album, tastefully titled as The Vegetarians of Love. Happy Listening! 🙂

“I don’t mind if you go, I don’t mind if you take it slow
I don’t mind if you say yes or no, I don’t mind at all
I don’t care if you live or die, couldn’t care less if you laugh or cry
I don’t mind if you crash your flight, I don’t mind at all
I don’t mind if you come or go, I don’t mind if you say no
Couldn’t care less, baby let it flow, ’cause I don’t care at all
Na na na etc.

I don’t care if you sink or swim, lock me out or let me in
Where I’m going or where I’ve been, I don’t care at all
I don’t care if the government falls, implements more futile laws
I don’t care if the nation stalls, and I don’t care at all

I don’t care if you tear down trees, I don’t feel the hotter breeze
Sink in dust in dying seas, and I don’t care at all
Na na na etc.

I don’t mind if the culture crumbles, I don’t mind if religion stumbles
I can’t hear the speakers mumble, and I don’t mind at all
I don’t care if the third world fries, it’s hotter there I’m not surprised
Baby I can watch whole nations die, and I don’t care at all
I don’t mind, I don’t mind, I don’t mind, I don’t mind, I don’t mind,
I don’t mind, I don’t mind at all!
Na na na etc.
I don’t mind about people’s fears, authority no longer hears
Send a social engineer, and I don’t mind at all
I don’t mind at all!”
